Steven Ketchmark

Attorney

A smiling man with a beard, wearing a dark blue suit, light blue shirt, and a striped tie, against a neutral background.

Steven Ketchmark has spent his career working inside some of the firm's most significant trials and complex cases. He has sat at counsel table, watched juries decide matters worth more than most firms will handle in a decade, and already spent more time in a courtroom than most lawyers twice his age.

Steven is Michael Ketchmark's son and has been around the practice of law his entire life, and learned early on that hard work and preparation are the backbone of success.

Steven graduated from the University of Kansas School of Law, where he received a CALI Award for Excellence in Pretrial Advocacy. Before law school, he graduated cum laude from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a degree in Information Systems and Analytics. That analytical background shapes how he organizes evidence, develops themes, and presents complex ideas.

Steven's strength is in the details. He focuses on mastering records, transcripts, and exhibits and is especially skilled at taking a large, complicated record and turning it into a clear, persuasive story for judges and juries.

Before joining the firm, Steven served as a legal intern to the Honorable Anthony Rex Gabbert of the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, where he studied trial records from an appellate perspective and saw how decisions made early in a case can have lasting impacts.

His practice focuses on complex litigation, personal injury, and wrongful death. Outside of work, Steven is happiest with his family. His wife, Amanda, and their son, Logan, are his pride and joy. He is also an expert-rated chess player and an avid triathlete.
